I Own A Luxury Spa – Do I Need a Website?
A luxury spa site provides potential clients their first taste of what the spa experience will be like. If designed well, it can entice potential clients to become actual ones. A luxury spa site also bolsters:
- First Impressions: A stunning website design sets the tone for your brand, reflecting the high standards of your spa. It can immediately communicate luxury, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
- Customer Engagement: A spa site provides essential information such as services offered, pricing, and booking options. It can also showcase the luxurious spa facilities on offer, treatments, and products. This ensures that customers can engage with your brand before even stepping through the door.
- Online Booking and Convenience: Nowadays, clients expect the ease of booking appointments online. A website enables seamless reservations, making your spa more accessible and ensuring clients can schedule treatments effortlessly.
- Brand Storytelling: Through carefully curated images, videos, and content, a website can tell your spa’s story. It can communicate its philosophy, values, and the luxurious experience it offers. This purposeful storytelling draws in clientele who are seeking more than just a service, but an entire experience.
- SEO and Online Presence: A strong online presence is key to staying competitive. With the right SEO strategy, your website can appear at the top of search results, attracting new clientele and boosting brand visibility. It will also help you stand out against your competition.
Spa Website Design Inspiration: KIJO’s 4 Luxury Spa Website Examples
We asked the expert KIJO team to find and provide commentary on 4 luxury spa website designs. Each of these designs effortlessly conveys a sense of luxury, combining visual elegance with an intuitive, enjoyable user experience. Commentary has been provided by our experienced, in-house Senior UX/UI Designer, Danny Findon-Kent.
The Spa at Carden Park
On an 1000 acre estate in Cheshire, UK, you’ll find The Spa at Carden Park. This is an adult-only beautiful day spa retreat.
Why we like it: Danny thinks that the The Spa at Carden Park website “opens with some really bright imagery and video. This conveys the atmosphere you can expect from the luxury spa immediately. The website always plays host to some really unique navigation which is clear, yet very engaging.”
Chenot
Chenot is a global chain of luxurious spas. They have espaces in Morocco, Italy, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, and Montenegro. These spas are famed for the “Chenot Method”; a wellness framework with a focus on detoxification and healing. Each spa in the group links local inspiration and culture with carefully curated treatments.
Why we like it: Danny was impressed with Chenot’s “distinctive modern styling. It also features some nice scroll interactions and entrance animations that feel purposefully sophisticated and assured.”
Forestis
Forestis is a secluded spa and wellness retreat based in northern Italy. It overlooks wooded mountain landscapes and the Dolomites UNESCO world heritage site.
Why we like it: Danny thought the Forestis website hosted some “excellent, clean photography. The layout of the website gives it a look-book feel which, in turn, feels inherently exclusive and completely luxurious. The spa is obviously secluded and private and the simple, neutral colour scheme reinforces this. This luxury spa website example knows its target audience and speaks directly to them via the website design.”
Son Brull
On the Spanish Balearic island of Majorca, you’ll find the luxury hotel and spa Son Brull. It was once an 18th century monastery, and is surrounded by 32 hectares of orchards, vineyards and centuries-old olive trees. It describes itself as a “rural sanctuary of relaxed luxury”.
Why we like it: Danny loved the “sophisticated user experience” on the Son Brull website. “The unique booking system is particularly brilliant too. It’s seamless and easy but designed with the clientele in mind. It’s something to admire in this list of luxury spa website design inspiration.”
Built by KIJO – ESPA Life at Corinthia
Here at KIJO, we’ve worked with world-renowned luxury spas. Our most recent collaboration in this industry was with ESPA Life at Corinthia.
Corinthia London, one of the most prestigious 5-star luxury hotels in the heart of the UK’s capital, sits just moments from Trafalgar Square. Within this iconic hotel is the spa ESPA Life at Corinthia; an award-winning spa spanning four floors. It’s dedicated to elevating wellness to new heights.
ESPA Life at Corinthia partnered with KIJO to revamp their website. They wanted to create a design that captures the expansive, immersive experience of the spa in a sensory and engaging way. In addition, the new site aimed to boost both user engagement and conversions.
The new, truly atmospheric website saw a 26% increase in users clicking through to the booking platform in just the first month of its launch! There was also a 27.6% increase in session time on the first week of the website’s launch when compared to the previous month.
