Private psychology and psychiatry clinic, The Chelsea Psychology Clinic, is based in the heart of affluent Chelsea, London.
They came to KIJO looking for a new website that would represent the expectations of the clinic’s clients and position themselves as a professional, experienced and luxury psychology clinic.
Their current website was dated and lacked innovation and excitement.
A Web Presence in Need of an Upgrade
Whilst The Chelsea Psychology Clinic had already built up an online presence, their website was dated and didn’t portray the brand’s ethos, experience and dedication to potential clients.
The existing website featured an over complicated navigation system that made the user journey convoluted. This was having a knock on effect on the clinic’s main website goal of expanding their client base.
The user experience of the website was lacking and from entry onto the website it was unclear what the primary goal was for visitors.
The Chelsea Psychology Clinic had extensive plans for future growth including B2B expansion across the UK and in Dubai. They therefore needed a website that could form the foundation for these growth plans.
The team were also keen to create an online presence that would encourage not only new clients but also new team members who were of a high professional standard.
Whilst the previous website had a good SEO base, the KIJO experts were also able to identify key opportunities that were being missed.
Showcasing Trust and Expertise Through Design
This project required the KIJO team to strip back the existing Chelsea Psychology Clinic web presence and ensure the new website was functional and practical whilst still mirroring the clinic’s luxury brand and tone.
Carefully positioned call to actions encouraged users to contact the clinic, helping to create a clear goal without being overbearing or off putting.
We refined the navigation of the website thanks to intuitive dropdowns, whilst specific pages and sections were created to target individual audiences, therapy types or difficultes.
This helped to create a user experience that was positive, clear and stress-free.
Creating a Springboard for International Growth
In order to help facilitate the clinic’s growth plans, two targeted pages were created, a corporate page and online page pointing to the brand new video platform created by the KIJO team.
These pages were further supported by the introduction of a team and careers page, aimed at recruiting high quality talent.
It was important that these additional pages clearly showcased the clinic’s benefits and values to an array of audiences including potential employees, partners and clients.
An SEO Framework for Search Success
When it came to improving the SEO foundations of the website, we introduced various new features that would help to build the clinic’s search presence and strategy.
The addition of single pages would act as a landing page for specific, popular keywords meaning that if a user was to search a specific therapy or difficulty, they would be directed to a bespoke page for their needs.
We also targeted pages at specific audiences such as adults, children and adolescents and a new tiered blog now helps to pull traffic into different categories.
The user testing undertaken by the KIJO team showed us that 83% of users were able to reach their intended goal of accessing the child therapy web page and making an enquiry.
Thanks to the extensive work on the core SEO foundations and user experience we were able to improve the Chelsea Psychology Clinic website’s Google Lighthouse score to 90+.
This score covers elements such as performance, SEO, best practices and accessibility.
We simplified the user journeys to reach the clinics primary goal of increasing customers. We did this through carefully positioned CTAs, a refined navigation with intuitive dropdowns and sections and pages targetted at specific audiences, specific types of therapy or difficulties.

If you searched for a service such as individual or online therapy, there was a page for that. There was also pages targetted at specific audiences such as adults or children & adolescents. There was also a tiered blog which aimed at pulling in traffic into different categories.
We created a team and careers page aimed at recruiting and retaining the highest quality employees. We portrayed the benefits and the values of the clinic on these pages.
