KIJO’s 4 Favourite Website Designs for Luxury Alcohol & Spirits

We asked the expert KIJO team to find and provide commentary on 4 luxury alcohol and spirits website designs. Each of these designs effortlessly conveys a sense of luxury, combining visual elegance with an intuitive, enjoyable user experience.

Here are the most impressive web designs for those in the luxury alcohol and spirits business according to our experienced Website Service Leader, Liam Terry.

Isle of Skye Whisky

The Isle of Skye Whisky Homepage

Isle of Skye Whisky is a distillery based on the Isle of Skye off of Scotland, UK. It makes rich, robust and soul stirring scotches.

Why we like it: Liam thinks that the Isle of Skye Whisky website “leads with strong, breathtaking imagery and bold typography. This inherently feels luxurious and high-end. These are paired with seamless, smooth and interesting scroll techniques across all of the pages which gives a confident, fluid feel to the site as a whole.”

SIR CHILL

The SIR CHILL Homepage

SIR CHILL is a handcrafted unique Belgian premium gin that utilises ingredients from around the world.

Why we like it: Liam was impressed with SIR CHILL’s  “really unique off grid layout. The distinctive typography really gives the website immense, worldly character. This is in keeping with the brand and the global botanicals this spirits business uses.”

Paloseco

The Paloseco Homepage

Paloseco is a gin distilled in Spain, that is designed to be drunk neat.

Why we like it: Liam thought the Palesco website hosted some “great parallax scrolling and a brilliant use of a hero, 3D model of the product. There’s also some amazing expansive videos on display too. I like the sticky bottle counter in the top right next to the animated ‘Buy’ call to action. This indicates that the product is so unique, premium and special that it could sell out any minute. This is clever, but also a great way of communicating luxury and exclusivity. The website also asks for your name on entry so it can personalise your experience from the off. Touches like that bolster that exclusive feel.”

Uptown Cocktails

The Uptown Cocktails Homepage

Ready-to-drink, pre-mixed wine Uptown Cocktails are a spirits business based in the United States.

Why we like it: Liam loved the “really classy typography” on the Uptown Cocktails website. “It uses a sophisticated mixture of script and serif fonts. Even though the brand is arguably playful with its colour palette and branding, it uses white space well and this helps bring home that luxury market feel.”

Built by KIJO – Holyrood Distillery

The Holyrood Distillery Homepage - Built by the KIJO team

Here at KIJO, we’re no stranger to luxury or working with esteemed brands in the alcohol and spirits business. Our most recent collaboration in this space was with Holyrood Distillery

Holyrood is a distillery based in Edinburgh, Scotland and makes premium whisky, rum, vodka and in. They also host distillery tours offering their consumers full exposure to the distillation process. They had a really strong sense of brand in place when they approached KIJO, but what they lacked was an online presence. With the creation of a new website, KIJO was able to help them tell their brand story effectively and convert more users.

The new, luxurious, brand-fuelled website saw a 108% increase in organic traffic with our new design! You can read more about our project with the innovative Holyrood Distillery via the link:
